The Beekeeper
Hummer and Son Honey was started by the late Stanley F. Hummer and son, William S. Hummer, as a 4-H project in 1985. As the years went on, Stanley F. Hummer built up the company and William Hummer went on to further his education. In 1996, William Hummer graduated from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge with a Bachelor of Science in Urban Pest Management and a minor in Entomology and is now the president of the Louisiana Beekeepers Association. Upon his return from LSU, Hummer & Son began to pack their honey for retail sale.

Hummer & Son now produces and packs over 50,000 lbs of pure Louisiana honey a year for businesses in North Louisiana, Southern Arkansas and East Texas. Our honey is clover, rattan, peppervine, aster, and many other small blooming flora. Hummer & Son has won several 1st place honey awards at the Louisiana State Fair.

We also offer beekeeping supplies to beekeepers throughout the South. We are currently a Mann Lake Ltd. Dealer that handles a full line of specialty products. Please e-mail us for the information you need, and we can get you started in beekeeping or enhance your current line of professional supplies.
